| | | Vinson Lavail Lott born April 9, 1932 passed away on October 17, 2009. He was born in Houston, grew up in Pinehurst, Texas and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1951. During his lifetime, he was a Dairyman in Grimes County, Cy-Fair ISD A/C maintenance, owner of Lotts Kountry Store & Wrecker Service in Decker Prairie, farmed and ranched in Grimes County. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas, Farm Bureau, Producers Coop and
Texas Range Riders.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ted and Verdie Mae Lott, sister Connie Lott Marvis. Lavail is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Keasling Lott; daughter, Sharon & son-in-law Homer Jenkins, and daughter, Patti Stafford all of Richards, Texas. Grandchildren; Brian Hicks, Julie Lassetter, James Stafford, Lloyd Stafford Jr., and wife Melanie and Jacob Jenkins. Great grandchildren; Bradley, Allison, Brianna, Madison and Dylan; beloved dogs Addy and Sissy; sisters, Shirley Stokley and husband Rueben, Jean Taylor and husband Tom, Carroll White & husband Ronnie.
Serving as Pallbearers; Brian Hicks, James Stafford, Lloyd Stafford, Jr., Jacob Jenkins, Ken Maniscalco, Floyd Keasling, Jr., Lawrence Keasling & Billy Joe Gurka. Honorary Pallbearers; Lloyd Free, Scott Free, Richard Davis, Richard Duren, Allan Dean, Pete Maniscalco, Anthony Maniscalco, and Cecil Wallace.
Visitation is on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 5 pm to 9 pm, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, Texas; with wake service at 7 pm, followed by a rosary officiated by Deacon Ted Baker. Mass and burial will be
held on October 20, 2009 at 2 pm at St. Marys Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas officiated by Father Ed Kucera, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinsons memory may be made to the Texas Heart Institute, Transplant Services, P. O. Box 1403, Houston, Texas 77251-9908 or to St. Marys Catholic Church, Restoration Fund, P. O. Box 388, Plantersville, Texas 77363.
