Roy Claude Singleton age 66 of Montgomery, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 20, 2008 with his wife of 44 years, Barbara at his side. He was born in Montgomery, Texas on May 8, 1942 to the late Eli and Ruth Singleton. Roy was preceded in death by his son, Nolan Roy Singleton and brothers, Lynn Travis Singleton and Leei Singleton. Roy is survived by his loving and always devoted wife, Barbara Singleton; sons, Carl and David Singleton; daughter-in-laws, Candy and Dana Singleton; grandchildren, Jenna, Dustin and Jessica, Jordan & Troy, Jamie, Austin and Meagan; great grandson, “Kaden”, adopted granddaughter Sandy Cortez; brother, Ray Singleton; sisters, LaRue DeFore and Geneva Wilson, and Clara Walker. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery.
