Diane Donohoo Tinsley

Diane Donohoo Tinsley passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Motherís Day, May 13, 2012. She was born on February 11, 1939, in Marlin, Texas, to Richard and Dorothy Donohoo, who preceded her in death.

Diane is survived by David Tinsley; daughter, Deborah Humphreys and husband Stephen; sons Scott Tinsley and wife Hedaya, Jeffrey Tinsley and wife Veronique; grandchildren, Taylor, Preston, Hayden, Marshall, Mason and Morgan; brother Mike Donohoo; and many other close relatives.
Dianeís life was a lesson to all in how to live with love and smile through adversity. Her sweet disposition, quick sense of humor, and gentle nature endeared her to her many friends. She had a very adventurous spirit and enjoyed flowers, shopping, sewing and, most of all, being with her family. Her passing on Motherís Day signified her devotion to being a wonderful mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the many special friends who gave her genuine laughter and hope, visited and prepared food, and prayed with and for her during her long battle with Parkinsonís disease.
We would also like to specially thank the staff of Virginiaís Lakeview Home, Lighthouse Hospice, and the many caregivers who provided comfort and peace during her illness.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 5:00 until 7:30 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Huntsville, Texas. A celebration of her life will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 17, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, with graveside services to be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas, at 3:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Humphreys, Preston Humphreys, Mason Tinsley, Chris Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Edwin McGowen, Jack Robbins, and Barry Donoho. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Humphreys, Craig Wilson, Carl Evans, Mike Donohoo, Talmadge Tinsley, Jim Woliver, Tom Donoho and Edward Scheiblich.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to: Boys & Girls Club of Walker County, P.O. Box 8600, Huntsville, Texas 77340 or Boys & Girls Club of Marlin, 500 Oak Street, Marlin, Texas 76661.
