Frederick Edward Cooper born February 5, 1936 to Russell Frederick Cooper and Lula Mae Cornett Cooper in Opelousas, LA died March 10, 2012. Ed met his wife Monica Jane Sylvester in High School and married January 28, 1956.
Ed graduated from Opelousas High School and went to work at Ethyl Corp in Pasadena, Tx as an Operation Foreman. Ed loved hunting and fishing and all children, especially spending time with his own grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lula Mae Cooper, son Chris, daughter Angelique and grandson Russell. He is survived by his wife Monica Jane Cooper, son Fred and wife Becky Cooper and their children Bethany and Katie, son Mark and wife Tammy Cooper and their children Ryan, Kyle and Trecinda, son James and wife Kim Cooper and their children James Jr., Michael and Shawna, son Russell and wife Stacy and their children Katelyn and Mason, Chris’ children Christopher and Sarah, and Angelique’s children Danielle and Bailey. Ed is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Huntsville, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012, 5:30 to 6:30 PM with a
Rosary following at 6:30PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
