Leigh Ann Callaham Shelly was born on November 21, 1969 in Houston, TX to Charles & Margret Thigpen. Leigh Ann passed away suddenly and tragically September 16, 2009 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
After high school, Leigh Ann went on to complete cosmetology school and worked several years as a beautician. Before becoming a property manager, Leigh Ann worked for TDCJ at The B.O.T. office.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Jason Wayne Shelly, and her precious children, David Lee Callaham III Trey, twins Charles Edward Charlie, Emma Jaye Shelly, newborn Christopher Brodie Shelly and 4 step children Anna, Kimberly, Allison, and Brooklyn Shelly. Parents Charles and Margaret Thigpen and one sister Lynda and her husband Larry Berg and their children Haley, Cason and Caden. Grandmother Opal Baker, Father-in-law Joe Shelly, 4 Brother-in-laws, 5 sister-in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Leigh Ann was a loving mother, wife, sister daughter, and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation is Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Park Cemetery in Madisonville, TX.
