Doris Marie Yates McMilliam Doris Marie Yates McMillian was born in Walker County Texas on October 26, 1926 to Anderson and Edna Yates. She accepted the Lord at ten years old at Cook Springs Baptist Church and went home to be with Him on September 3, 2009. Marie married her first love, James D. (Mutt) McMillian. She taught music in Oakhurst, worked in many offices in Huntsville and was Justice of the Peace here for 18 years. She played the piano and organ at Cook Springs Baptist Church for fifty years. She leaves daughters Deanne McMillian and Renee’ Schauss and son Kevin McMillian and wife Colleen. Grandchildren include Shannon Chalker, Zebulon Schauss and wife Cindy, Justine McMillian and wife Ginger, Crystal McMillian and Mitchell McMillian. Great grandchildren include Montana and Jacob Chalker, Hunter and Mason Schauss and Kayden McMillian. She also leaves her loving sister, Erma (Ted) Walker and husband Doyle Walker and their family and many other family members and friends she loved so very much.
