Carolyn Faye Walker was born September 30, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Talmage Harris and Lois Barnes. She passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009. Carolyn was a very hard working and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a very strong person with a good heart and soul. She was independent, humble, kind, smart, fun, adventurous, cheerful and my best friend. Carolyn was loved by all who knew her. We are blessed to have such a wonderful mother. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Kirby; daughters Tammi Reinstein and Belinda McGaughy; grandchildren Amber Kowalski and husband Kai and Melody Gathright and husband Daniel; sister Barbara Jean Smith and husband Roger; and stepchildren Kevin Walker and Valorie Neely. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 26 at 2:00pm at the Fields Store Cemetery in Waller, Texas. Memorial condolences may be made online at www.shmfh.com.
