Walter Frederick Mensing

Walter Frederick Mensing, 71, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away July 29, 2009 at the Conroe Regional Medical Center. He was born in West Concord, Minnesota on October 5, 1937. At the age of six he moved with his family to Giese, Minnesota where they ran a dairy farm. He confirmed his faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church and graduated from McGrath High School. He later served in the military from June 1960-1962 in the Hawaiian Islands. Following his tour in the Army he returned to Cargill, Inc. where he was employed for 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Mack Mensing, sons Drew Errol, Wade Aaron, daughter-in-law Lori, grandchildren Josie, Ellie, Cade, mother Diervertje (Dena), siblings Lorraine, Lloyd, Henry, Lawrence, Richard, William, and other nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Wilhelm and sister Arlene Murphy he was preceded in death by nephews Greg Mensing, Jamie Mensing, and Harold Price Memorial services will be held Monday August 3, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntsville, Texas at 2:00 PM at 111 Sumac Road, Huntsville, Texas 77340.
