|Dear Mrs. McHenry and Sons,
I just wanted to let you know how very sorry I am to hear about Mr. McHenry's death. I was in his Spring 2006 night class, and I can honestly say that he was one of my all time favorite teachers. His laughter was contagious, and he had the most interesting and unique ways of looking at things and opening your mind. I am so honored to have had the chance to have him as a teacher, and he will be greatly missed.|

|I am truly sorry to hear about the death of your husband. He was a good man and always strived for the best in his students. I will never forget him. I am forver grateful that I was a student of his and got to know the man he is before his life was cut unexpectedly. I thank God that Mr.McHenry was able to touch other students lives the same as he did mine. Your family will be in my prayers. Much love to you all.|

|I was very surprised to see in the Sheridan Press, that Brian had passed! My heart goes out to his wife and his boys who he loved and always spoke so highly of. And to of course his parents.
I worked with Bryan at Wal-Mart in Sheridan when it opened in 1990. We talked about how the Forest Service should use draft horses to clear areas to steep on the Big Horns to use other equipment. Recently his cousin Jill came to Worland to work for a company that I was on the Board of. When I saw her name (McHenry) I had to ask was she related to Bryan. I haven't seen him in 14 years but I remember him with great fondness.
My most sincere condolences to the family.

|Dear Mrs. McHenry a*k*a Aunt Mertha. I was so shocked and saddened when I heard of Uncle Bryan's death. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and the boys. I was so glad that I got to see and speak to him at the family reunion, he gave me such great advice about college and he told me that I can call on him whenever I needed help. I know he is up high looking over you and the family. We will all miss him dearly. Just remember you are never alone, he will be here with you everday for the rest of your life. We are all here for you and you are going to make it through this because you are such a strong woman. I love you always. Arnetia.|

|Mertha and Boys,
I was saddened to hear of Bryan's death. He and I shared a long year at Sam Houston, but we helped each other get through. Bryan was always upbeat and had something good to say about the worst situations. His love of family, literature, and kids was contagious. I know these are the qualities he conveyed to his sons and that the things he held so dear will live on in them. His mind was quick, and always open to change for the better. I sincerely enjoyed being his teaching partner and know that he enriched my life as he did the lives of his students. He left the world a better place, and I know you will miss him. May God give you peace and strength to deal with this untimely loss.

|Dear Mertha and boys;
We were saddened to read of Bryan's passing yesterday in the Sheridan Press. We have Bryan and you to thank for introducing us to draft horses and the Big Horn mountains in Sheridan, Wyoming during the 5 day wagon train you took us on in 1990. Bryan was an excellent teacher in driving these big horses and we were so impressed with them, that a year later we bought Babe and Belle and in 1995 when I retired we decided to move to Sheridan after numerous trips back. Thankyou to you both and whenever I drive a team, I'll remember Bryan as my first instructor showing me how to do it right!|

|Mac and Nola, Mert, Jaryn and Kody and McHenry family I was shocked to read the paper today in Sheridan and see that Bryan had crossed over. I know with all my heart that he had a wonderful brother and grandparents over there helping him to cross. May the Great Spirit help you through these times with ease and peace. If there is anything I can do on this end, just let me know, even if it is and ear to listen (give me a call if you wish). My thoughts are with you and sending you Love and Light. |

My thoughts and Pryers are with you and the boys and also Uncle Holly and Aunt Nonie and the rest of the McHenry Family. I have many great memories of Brian, but I will always remember him teaching me to ride a horse even before I was able to walk (well maybe not before I could walk, but very little). He was a great guy and I always looked up to him. He will be missed.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to lose such a great friend as Bryan.
One of my fondest memories is the delight of having both you and Bryan in my graduate course together several years ago now. The last time I talked with Bryan--sometime during the spring semester-- he was absolutely glowing with the news of your pursuing your master's degree. He was so proud of you! But this was a typical exchange. He was always talking about you and the boys!
Bryan was an excellent student, an excellent teacher, a dedicated husband and father, a truly great man with an incredible sense of humor. I will miss him.
Please know that I am praying for you and your family.

|Mrs. McHenry,I was quite saddened to hear of your loss, my deepest condolences, may God be with him forever. Bryan and I worked together the last couple of years in the ESL department at Conroe High. I can not put into words the great fondness and respect I had for him. He was always looking out for me, I used to joke with him how he was becoming my second father.
He loved many things in life, but always spoke of his family, and riding his bike. The kids loved him, and thought the world of him. I am going to miss him tremendously,he will always have a place in my heart.|

|Mrs. MacHenry, I worked across the hall from your husband as a new adjunct, and I only had the opportunity to chat with him a few times. However, I remember noticing the flowers you had sent him for a special occasion a few months ago, and how pleased he was to receive them. When he said the two of you had been married 30 years (I believe), he said it with such a smile, like a man still deeply in love with his wife and very content to be married, that it nearly brought me to tears (of joy). What a blessing and a testimony to you both.
My sympathies to you at what must be a most difficult time for you and your family.|
