Jack Tipton McCullar

Jack Tipton McCullar was born in Creek, Texas, on April 18, 1927, to Aaron McCullar and Gussie Erwin McCullar. After a courageous fifteen month battle with his illness, Jack passed away on May 12, 2011 in Huntsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tremon, Randal and Ernest (Hink).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Mary Trippon McCullar; son, Jack McCullar, Jr.; daughter, Terry Perry; grandson, Brian Perry; sister Betty Joel Grimes and husband Charles; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Karen Huffman.

Jack served in WWII in the Merchant Marines and later in the Army Air Corps. He worked building pipelines all over the United States, including Alaska. In 1961 Jack and Mary opened Center Bowling Lanes in Huntsville. He taught auto mechanics at the Ferguson Unit and also at Conroe High School. Jack loved gardening and taking care of his lawn.

The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our special caregivers Patsy Countryman, Teresa Perkins, Misty Rankin, Tonya Schoubrock, Randi Craipitto and Cindy Parker.
