Marjorie Ann Dunegan, age 76, devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Caregiver, slipped quietly the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God; joining, by her journey, her Mother, Father, and Brother on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Marjorie was born in Wichita, Kansas, the 2nd of 10 children, on September 16, 1935. She moved later in life to Montgomery, Texas where she enjoyed working for many years at Walden on Lake Conroe. Upon leaving Walden she moved into Houston, Texas where she devoted her entire life to caring for her mother and quadriplegic brother until 2011 when illness forced her to move to Conroe, Texas where she lived with her son.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her father, George H. Dunegan; mother, Leotha M. Dunegan and brother, Garold Lee Dunegan.
Marjorie is survived by son, George Daniel Fair of Conroe, Tx; grandson, Steven A. Fair; granddaughter, Christina M. Diltz; daughter Sandra Keen and son-in-law David Keen, of Ponca City, Ok; grandson, Blake Orcutt; granddaughter, Sara Martin; granddaughter, Jennifer Orcutt; son John Fair of Keefer, Ok; grandson, Jolian Seth Fair; 12 great grandchildren; brother, James E. Dunegan and wife Margie Dunegan of Ocala, Fl; brother, Thomas H. Dunegan and wife Jackie Martini of The Woodlands, Tx; sister, Carol Joyce Bryant and husband William Bryant of Jennings, Ok; sister, Patricia C. Sopchak, and husband Clarence Sopchak of Conroe, Tx; sister Shirley L. Rosa and husband Rudy Rosa of Montgomery, Tx; sister Virginia M. Love of Humble, Tx; brother, Richard L. Dunegan, and wife Roxanne Dunegan of Bertram, Tx; and brother, George Michael Dunegan of The Woodlands, Tx.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, the 19th of January from 6 pm 8 pm, with Rosary beginning at 7 pm, at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 West FM 1097, Willis, Texas 77318, ph: 936.890.0454.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at 2 pm. Friday, the 20th of January at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 N. Frazier, Conroe, Texas 77301 where the Reverend Thomas Hopper, Parochial Vicar, will serve as celebrant.
A grave side burial service will follow at Smith Memorial Park which is adjacent to Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Willis, Tx.
