William Jaris Clifton, of Houston, Texas, and retired pastor of Calvary Bible Church in West Frankfort, Illinois, entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2011. Pastor Clifton is survived by his wife, Maria del Carmen Clifton; daughter Carmen Lorena Clifton; sons William Jaris Clifton Jr., Christian David Clifton, Joshua Andrew Clifton, Joseph Scott Clifton, and Samuel Brady Clifton; daughter-in-law Megan Renea Clifton; grandchildren London, Judah, Kaiowa, Divine, Slone, Noah, and Elijah; his stepmother Lorena Clifton; sisters Linda Caruso, Rita McKnight, and Donna Rogers; brothers Robert Tyler and Stephen Tyler; and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas on Tuesday, October 18 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Pastor Clifton will be laid to rest at Macy Community Cemetery in Hearne, Texas with Military Honors later that day at 4 PM.
