Charles Custer Lightfoot, age 96, passed away October 2, 2011. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Lightfoot of Texas; brother Donald Joe Lightfoot of California; son David Lightfoot of Colorado; daughter Donna Smith and husband Walt Stenning of Texas; daughter Carolyn Murray and husband Bobby of Texas; daughter Deborah Lochabay and husband Samuel of Texas; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by wife Jewel Lightfoot of 47 years; son Larry Wayne Lightfoot; father Charles Lightfoot; mother Ollie Weldy Lightfoot; sister Ellie Bernard Talley; brother Roy Nimitz Lightfoot; and brother Jack Lanier Lightfoot. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, October 4 from 6-8 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Funeral Services officiated by Minister Jeff Phillips are scheduled for Wednesday, October 5 at 11 AM at the Conroe Church of Christ, 1860 Longmire Rd., with interment following services at Smith Memorial Park in Willis.
