Jeff Lee Harwell, age 59, passed away July 13, 2011. He is survived by mother Nova Harwell; life partner Jeffrey Cross; son Adam Harwell and wife Karen; son Lee Harwell and wife Kristel; grandchildren Rylee, Taylor, and Ali; brothers Mike and Joe Harwell; and special friends Joy and John Fulton, Linda Carrington, and Linda Sweeney. Jeff was born and raised in Lampasas, Texas and went on to graduate from Texas A&M in 1974; Gig’em! He began his career with Ernst & Ernst, but soon decided that teaching was his calling. Jeff was a Professor in the Accounting Department at Sam Houston State University for the past 30 years. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 16 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund established with the University.
