Vera Mae Rutherford Nannen, affectionately known as "Poochie" and "Gammy", passed away on March 2, 2011, in her home in Willis, Texas, at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray F. Nannen Sr., and her daughter Linda Nannen Patterson. She is survived by her son Ray Nannen Jr., her daughter Susan Hallmark, her granddaughters Erica Hallmark Janke and Tanya Vittitow, her grandson Cody Rutherford Hallmark, great-grandson Trevor West, sister-in-law Mary Jane Lewis, along with countless other friends and family and her beloved pets. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 12, at 4:00 PM, celebrating the lives of Ray and Vera at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 W., Willis, TX 77318. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Montgomery County Animal Shelter at 8535 Highway 242, Conroe, TX 77385. Reception with the family will follow the service at Arbors of Willis.
