Herbert Gardner Berry – Born April 21, 1924 in Saugus, Mass.
Died May 24, 2009 in Conroe, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arlington and Nora Berry and his three brothers Ernest, Richard and Robert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years June (Chapman) Berry and three children and their families, Valarie and William Collins of Willis, TX, Kristine and James Cogen of Hilton Head, S.C., and Dennis and Jo Berry of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. He has also left to keep his memory alive 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was most proud of his service to his country in WWII, as a radio operator with the 1st Calvary in the Pacific Campaign for 2 ½ years.
We will miss our wonderful husband, “Perfect Dad”, Grandpa and Papa.
