| | | Juliann Joyce-Adams, born to William and Florence Joyce February 17, 1951, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 after a brave battle with lung cancer.
Juliann was raised on the family farm in Graettinger Iowa until she moved to Nebraska. There she graduated from S. Sioux City High School in 1969. After spending several years in that area Juliann decided it was time to move to a warmer climate. She found just that in Conroe, Texas in 1982. She has worked as a secretary since moving to the area and the last 11 years as a secretary in the Public Works Department with the City of Conroe.
She is preceded in death by her father; William (2005), mother Florence (2006) and son Kevin (1977). Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Brandi Mahon, Round Rock, Texas and Molly Mahon ,Willis, Texas; two grandsons, Kolton Anderson, Montgomery, Texas and Kobe Brown, Willis, Texas; sister, Mary (George) Leonard, Salix, Iowa; five brothers, Joe (Darlene) Joyce, Graettinger Iowa, Paul (Ann) Joyce, Graettinger, Iowa, Larry Joyce, Spencer, Iowa, Richard (Pam) Joyce, Altoona, Iowa and Robert (Tammie) Joyce, Manhattan, Kansas. Visitation will be at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 West, Willis, Texas, on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 6 until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 17th beginning at 1 P.M., with interment following at Smith Memorial Park.
