Lillian Imogene Basore, age 85, of Columbus, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Grant Medical Center. She was the owner of Rosella's Beauty Shop. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, George H. Basore Sr.; parents, Benjamin and Hester (Baker) Thornton, and brother, Clyde Thornton. She is survived by her children, George “Pete” (Bekki) Basore, Jr. and Mildred “Sis” Neil both of Columbus; six grandchildren, Douglas (Margaret) Neil, George “Howie” (Judy) Basore III, Michael (Chris) Basore, Teresa (Steven) Pickerel, Tim (Elizabeth) Neil and Dorothy (Chris Kristanich) Ellingsworth; nine great grandchildren, Benjamin (Kelly) and Candice Neil, Kristen, Katherine, and George Basore, Danielle Staten, and Zachary, Jack and Elyse Pickerel; brothers, Richard (Janet), Steve and Gary (Jodi) Thornton, and Paul (Midge) Penrod. Also, special friend Toni Ann Ebright. Lillian was a member & Elder of Central Presbyterian Church of South Third Street. The family will welcome friends from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43222. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH with Rev. Jim Mehler officiating.
