Jacquie Witker Daughenbaugh, age 60, of Dublin, Ohio died Tuesday October 16, 2007 at home. Born in Toledo, Ohio to Helen Snyder Witker and the late Dr. Jack Witker, of Lakeside, Ohio, Jacquie married Ralph "Doc" Daughenbaugh on December 19, 1970. A graduate of Lakeside High School, Class of 1965, she received her Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University in 1969. Jacquie did graduate studies at The Ohio State University and received her Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University. She taught second grade at Deer Run Elementary for 20 years and then taught at Eli Pinney Elementary School 5 1/2 years. Jacquie received the Golden Shamrock Award for outstanding teacher for the City of Dublin in 1993. She also taught second grade at Catawba Elementary from 1969 to December, 1970. Jacquie was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, the Alumnae Association of Columbus, Ohio, member of the Ohio Education Association, National Education Association, Dublin Education Foundation and she was very active with the Emerald Ball Committee where she served many years. She was also a member of P.E.O., Chapter EU; Muirfield Country Club; VFW-Marblehead, Women's Chapter; CEO of the Wednesday Nite Guys and Dolls; and Chi Omega Bridge Club. Jacquie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Doc Daughenbaugh; children: Kelly Yocum and Brett Daughenbaugh, of Dublin, Ohio; her two granddaughters: Ashley and Lexus Yocum; her mother Helen Snyder Witker, of Lakeside, Ohio; her siblings: Cheryl (John) Kocher, of Port Clinton, Ohio, Wendy (Dave) Stahanczyk, of New Albany, Ohio and David (Dana) Witker, of Naples, Florida; and by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Friday at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio 43065 (614)-792-1471. (The funeral home is on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am. Saturday October 20, 2007 at St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Rd., Dublin, Ohio 43016 with The Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks, Celebrant. Graveside Committal Service will be held 11:00 am. Tuesday October 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Marblehead, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to: Susan G. Komen Fund-Columbus Affiliate, 855 Grandview Avenue, Suite 250, Columbus, Ohio 43215, in Jacquie's memory.
