Barbara Jayne Dimond, 78, of Columbus, passed away October 10, 2007. Survived by husband of 47 years, Thomas W. Dimond; daughters, Vicki (Walter) Sparks, Kristi (Steve) Phillip; grandchildren, Andria (David) Wilburn, Adam (Shannon) Sparks, Allon (Amber) Sparks, Ashley Smith and Aaron Smith; 7 great-grandchildren; cousin, Christina Baker; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by first husband Merlin R. Payne, parents Albert and Helen Tankovich. Barbara was Clerk-Treasurer of Perry Township for 27 years. She was Clerk-Treasurer of Fairbanks Local Schools for 8 years. She loved to gather with their music group friends and was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2007, at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh., where friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday.
