Carolyn B. Barghausen, age 92, of Dublin, and formerly a longtime resident of Westerville before retiring to Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Friendship Village of Dublin. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Louis B. Barghausen who died in 2000. She was a member of Central College Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda. In Fla., she volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels for over 5 years. She hosted the first meeting and was a founding member of the Islettes, the Women's Auxiliary of the Isles Yacht Club. Carolyn is survived by her children, Wade and Gail Barghausen of Dublin and Carol and Richard Close of Hilliard; grandchildren, Michael Close of Del Mar, Calif., Teri (Paul) Campbell of Granville, Oh., Casey (Gretchen) Close of Greenwich, Conn. and Amy (Brad) Borden of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH. 43065, 614-792-1471, where family will receive friends before the service from 1-2 p.m. Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth officiating. (The funeral home is located on West Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750, 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.)
