Helen L. (Merchant) Compton, 81, of Delaware County, died Friday, August 31, 2007. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Preceded in death by husband Archie B. Compton. Survived by children, Susan (Jim) Williams, Lynda Finnerty and Tom Compton; grandchildren, Chris, Timothy (Jennifer), Amy, Stacey, Kasey and Andy; great-grandchildren, Halle and Kaden; sisters, Elinor (Jim) Hern and Jeanne Johnston; brothers, William (Miriam), Harry (Elli) and Jerry (Susie) Merchant; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL (Powell Rd./St.Rt. 750 ¼ mile east of Sawmill Pkwy), where family and friends may call 4-9 p.m. Tuesday.
