CESSNA
William H. Cessna, age 76, was born in Punxsutawny, PA October 17, 1930 and went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2007. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was greatly loved by his family and friends. Bill is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 46 years; and their three sons, Stephen of MO, Chris and his wife Kelli and their two children Aiden, age 2 and their newborn Sydney of Denver, CO and Burke and his wife Kimberly and their two children Mason, 13 and Carmel, 9, of Dublin, OH. Bill moved his family to North Canton, OH in 1968 and founded Wayne Homes. He was a hard-working, ethical man. He and Carol enjoyed traveling throughout the world. After retirement, they moved to Fort Myers, FL and became members of Estero United Methodist Church. He loved spending time on the golf course with his family and many friends. Throughout his life, Bill had a great influence on many people, including his sons who will always consider him their most important role model. He was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor and a deep sense of love and caring for those around him. He surely has a special place reserved for him in Heaven. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065 (614) 792-1471, where a Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. after the visitation hours.
