Richard “Rick” A. Coughlin, 54, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing with his wife in Florida, Saturday August 18, 2007. Survived by his loving wife of 23 years Anita; daughters Kelly and Corey; loving parents Al and Lois; brothers Mike, Tom (Debbie), Al (Debbie) and Joe; sisters Kathy (Bruno) Capogreco and Patty Coughlin; mother-in-law Elsie Rupp of Norwalk, OH; special friend Sue Coughlin; many nieces, nephews and friends. 1971 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School. Rick was married to Anita in 1983 and had two beautiful daughters; Kelly, 22 and Corey, 20. He had recently retired as a self-employed heavy equipment salesman and was looking forward to spending more time with his family. He never knew a stranger and was always doing kind things for others. Rick’s heart knew no bounds. He was happiest outdoors and could always be found working with his hands or building something for somebody. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling and being on the water. Rick will be greatly missed by his loving family and countless friends. Member of St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd., Columbus, OH 43235 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM Thursday August 23, 2007. Fr. Justin Reis Celebrant. Fr. Raymond Lavelle and Fr. Barry Benz co-celebrants. Cremation to follow.
