Edith Terry, 90 of Kenova, WV passed away on June 19, 2017 at Heartland of Riverview Care Center in South Point, OH. She was born July 22, 1926 in Kenova a daughter of the late James and Dula Power Terry. Edith attended Ceredo-Kenova High School and graduated with honors in 1944. She retired after 40 years of service from Anderson Newcomb where she was an executive assistant. Edith was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Kenova where she also served as a Sunday school teacher. Having never married, Edith was devoted to her sister and brother and their children who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Mae Smith and her brother, Jim Terry. She is survived by four nephews, Jimmy (Dot) Smith of Kenova, Terry (Vivian) Smith of Huntington, David Smith of St. Joe, MI and Mike Lewis of Minneapolis, MN; three nieces, Denise Justus of Milton, Debbie (Ryan) Bolt of Barboursville and Amanda (Joe) Mader of Charlotte, NC. The family would like to express a special thanks to Jimmy who stayed with and lovingly cared for Edith for several years. They would also like to express their thanks to the staff of Heartland of Riverview. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Funeral services will begin immediately following the visitation at 2 with Rev. Scott Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
