Our funeral home is a family owned and operated business. We are large enough to give our families the same service as the largest funeral homes around, yet we are small enough that each family gets the level of attention and care they deserve.

In 1860, Charles Roberts, Sr. opened a combination furniture store and undertaking business in Strawberry Point. Today, both the Franklin Furniture store and Funeral Home businesses are still going strong. Tom Roberson purchased the combination businesses in 1975. The businesses were recognized as a century business of Iowa in 2002 by the Iowa Department of Economic Development.

Tom graduated from the Milwaukee School of Mortuary Science in 1968. He married his wife, Linda, in 1968 and they have one daughter, Heather, who is a high school English teacher.

The Franklin Furniture Store and the Roberson Funeral Home are located adjacent to each other in downtown Strawberry Point, Iowa.
