| Gwendolyn Hyacinthia Anderson was born on October 26, 1943 in Trelawny, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Uriah Johnson and Elma Scarlett Johnson. She attended Walden Sea Elementary School. She was an Excellent Seamstress. She met and fell in love with the late John Cotterell and was married on December 12, 1979 and to this union produced five sons, Edwin, Anthony, Robert, Paul and Dave. She later remarried on September 27, 1989 to the late Thomas Anderson.
She immigrated to the United States of America and worked for many years as a Nursing Assistant. She accepted the Lord and worshipped here at the Redeemed Christian Fellowship C.O.G.O.P. where she served as one of the church mothers. Gwendolyn was a very dedicated, caring, loving and faithful person. She always had a smile. She was known for her generosity and willingness to support her local church. She leaves to cherish her love and memories with Five sons, Edwin, Anthony, Robert, Paul and Dave Grandson, Kemar Cotterell whom she raised with numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, Julieth East, Lorris Edwards, Lurline Burke and Joanet Johnson; One brother, Neville Johnson; Sisters-in-law, Joyce Johnson and Yvonne Smith; Best friend, Sis. Eneava Foster. She will be sadly missed. Pastor Kendrick McBeam will officiate. Interment will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York. | ||
