| Clarence “Pop” F. Singleton a 65 year resident of Newburgh, New York passed this life on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Montrose Veterans Home, Montrose, NY. He was 89.
The son of the late Robert and Rosa Jennings was born January 1, 1919, in Georgetown, SC. He was a Retired waiter for United States Military Academy in West Point, New York and a WWII Army Veteran. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife of 65 years Margery Singleton at home, grandchildren William Hill (Devona), Loretta Woody (Ronald) and Valerie Cooper all of Newburgh, NY and Nicole Curry(Andre) of St. Louis, MO. Great Grandchildren Janea Hill, Lakiesha Hill, and Kaiya Powell all of Newburgh, NY, Jason Singleton of Kingston, NY, Jalisa and Jashon Singleton of High Point, NC, Sherita Hill of Lompoc, CA, Demitri Hill of El Paso, TX, Tiara, Elizabeth and Andre Curry all of St. Louis, MO and One Great-Great Grandson Jahbral Davis of Newburgh, NY and one sister Lucille Smalls of Georgetown, SC and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Marjorie Cooper, Grandson Jason S. Singleton, Brothers George Singleton and James Singleton. Pastor Eula Mae Brouch will officiate. Interment will be at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, New York. | ||
