AGE: 91 RESIDENCE Wappingers Falls, New York OCCUPATION/MEMBERSHIP Baptized in 1928 at White Oak Run Baptist Church, Rapidan, VA, she moved to Poughkeepsie in 1931, and attended Poughkeepsie High School. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for 15 years and sang in the choir. She was employed as a machine operator for Stardust for 15 years and was a retired nurse's aide for the Hudson River Psychiatric Center with 23 years of service. She was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church, which organized July 18, 1946. She was the first president of the Second Baptist Church Senior Choir and a member of the deaconess board and the pastor's aide. DIED (When, Where) Sunday May 25, 2008 Lutheran Care Center Poughkeepsie, New York PLACE, DATE OF BIRTH Rapidan, Virginia January 12, 1917 PARENTS The late George Greene and Ella Parker SURVIVORS One son, William Roberts of Loma Linda, California; Two grandchildren, Steward Barnes, Jr. and Michelle Walthall and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, William Roberts, daughter, Merle Barnes and grandson, Anthony Barnes. Robert L. Bruce, Officiating.
