AGE: 69 RESIDENCE Poughkeepsie, New York OCCUPATION/MEMBERSHIP Retired System Analysis IBM Poughkeepsie, New York Member of Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church Poughkeepsie, New York and her status at death was serving as Chair of the Trustee Board. She was the President of the local Missionary Society, Life’s Matron, Sunday School, Church Women United and President of the Thursday Luncheon Committee. She was the AME Zion and Trinity Housing Board Treasurer. She also served on the Board of Directors at the Harriet Tubman Terrace Apts. and also was the founder and director of the Harriet Tubman summer camp for several years. She was Leader of Leaders of the Class Leaders Board and she volunteered for the Frank Wells Scholarship Fund in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is a member of The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women and the National Council of Negro Women. In June 2007 she was appointed by Bishop George E. Battle, Jr., presiding prelate of the northeastern Episcopal area, to serve as the Westchester district representative for the national council of negro women. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by husband, Augustus Johnson, parents, Gladys Green, Rosetta McClinton, baby sister, Betty Lou Lawrence, Lonnie Lawrence, Jr., George Tyson “Duke” Lawrence. Reverend Dr. H.
