Holmes and wife Barbara of Fayetteville, North Carolina, John M. Holmes of Newburgh, New York and Joseph A. Holmes of Baltimore, Maryland; One daughter, Joanne E. Purdy of Streamwood, Illinois; One sister, Katherine Newton of Spivey Corner, North Carolina; Four grandchildren, Lana Purdy, Nicole Purdy, Diamond Holmes and Marcus Holmes; One great grandchild, Dream Diamond Holmes.
