She was a Board Member of the Martin Luther King Cultural Center of Beacon, New York.
She was the Founder of Beacon Westend Reunion and was on the committee of Beacon High School Graduating Class of 1954.

Three children, George Mckenzie, Jr. and David Mckenzie both of Charlotte, North Carolina and Diana Mckenzie-Mayo and husband Adam of Wappingers Falls, New York; Six grandchildren, Terricia Mayo, Patrice White, Attillah Mckenzie, Zion Mckenzie, Dominick Mckenzie and Xavier Mayo; One great grandchild, Kiara Mcneil; Siblings, Rhonda Bugg of New York City, New York and James ”Frankie” Bugg of New Jersey; Sister-in-law, Tereasa Bugg of Beacon, New York. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by parents and siblings, Alfreda Price, David “June” Bugg and William Bugg.
