Bonnie Jean Swanson, age 74 of Wahoo, died Monday May 5, 2003 at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1928 in Weston, NE to Laurence and Florence ( Hamilton) Swanson. On April 29, 1947 she married Ralph Swanson in Wahoo. She graduated from Wahoo High School and attended Luther College for two years. She worked as a clerk at Farmers Co-Op. Bonnie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and sang for many years in the choirs at the First United Methodist Church in Wahoo and the First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo.

She was preceded in death by daughter Susan Lynne Swanson and great-grandson Christian Swanson. Survivors include her husband Ralph of Wahoo; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Jean of Leigh, NE; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and James Witte of Yutan, brothers Roger (Verna) Swanson of Yutan and Larry Swanson of Beatrice; sisters Dorothy Klink and Gloria (Allen) Cejka of Weston, grandchildren Jason ( Nicole) Swanson of Lincoln, Ken (Angie) Swanson of Coleridge NE, Andrew (Chastity) Swanson of Norfolk, Angela (Brett) Heckens of Omaha, and Karen (Greg) Roberg of Blair; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo with the Reverend Dr. Burton Knudsen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Chancel Choir at the First Presbyterian Church.
