Hardware parts on hardwood caskets are the lugs, arms, bars, and bar tips. These parts do more than just support weight; they also complement the overall look of the casket. Naturally, Victoriaville/Aurora has a large variety of hardware to meet the needs of the varied product line.

There are perceivable differences in the hardware, which is important when discussing value considerations. Some things to look for include material, design, and finish. Same-species lugs and bars are of higher value than metal lugs and bars.

Again, design is an important factor, as is the finish. This refers to the finish applied to any metal parts of the hardware, because wood parts are always finished in the same manner as the rest of the casket. The most expensive finishing process is plating, which gives the metal parts a lustrous look. Painted finishes are the least expensive.
