Joe Powers
Owner/Funeral Director
Joe Powers is married to Karla and has 4 daughters. Originally from Pocahontas, Iowa - he graduated from Cincinnati Mortuary School in Ohio, then from Loras College in Duquque, Iowa and later from the International School of Theology in San Bernadino, Calif. He took over ownership of the Lindsay Funeral Homes on May 1, 1995. He loves people, and considers it a privlege to serve families. He also tries to celebrate life - daily, and to assist families as they celebrate the life of a loved one.
Brian Cramer
Funeral Director
Brian Cramer is married to Sherri and has 2 daughters and one son. He is originally from Audubon. After graduation from high school Brian attended Westmar College. Later while working for Marriott Hotel in Des Moines he attended Des Moines Area Community College, graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1995. Brian served families in the Stuart area until moving to Creston in June of 2004 when he joined the Powers Funeral Home staff.
Joe Saville
Funeral Director
Joe Saville is married to Rachael and they have three great children, Chloe, Brodie and Silas. Joe was raised on a farm near Redding and graduated from Mt. Ayr High School in 1996. He has an Automotive Degree from DMACC and in 2006 graduated from DMACC's Mortuary Program. He enjoys spending time with family, fishing, camping and watching sports.
Debbie Angelo
Office Manager
Debbie Angelo, a 1980 Creston graduate, has two children, Kayla age 18 and Logan age 14 and one precious granddaughter. Debbie joined as Office Mngr. in August of 2000. Debbie enjoys personalizing services through designing color service folders and personal videos, in addition to looking to all of the details of families wishes. Debbie's after-care assistance includes helping families with filing insurance claims and helping with their monument needs. She loves working with people and has a heart for serving and helping families celebrate the life of their loved one. Debbie stays active through her involvements with her church, children's school, music and sporting events. Debbie served 10 years as President of the Creston PTO group; has been actively involved with the Relay for Life committee for 10 years and also serves as a board member of the Bluegrass Optimist club, recently organized in Union county. She is an invaluable part of our service to the community.
Paul Somers

Paul Somers is from Creston, his wife is Cheryl and he has 3 grown sons, and 6 grandchildren. Paul retired from serving as the Director of Student Services at Southwestern Community College, where he worked for 33 years. He has been associated with the Powers Funeral Homes since 2001, assisting with funerals, visitations, and providing professional care to all ages. He is a care giver.
Eloise White

Eloise has lived in rural Union county most of her life. She has 3 grown children, 8 grandchildren and has been blessed with 3 great-grandchildren. Her love of people and ability to serve them in their time of need is what she enjoys about her job and she feels this is her calling. Eloise enjoys the time she is able to spend with her family, friends and her church family. Also in her spare time Eloise loves to take care of her flowers, crochet and still makes an occasional cake for family and friends.
Lamona Bilderback

Lamona Bilderback, of Creston, has retired from 40 years serving in a local bank. She is married, has two grown children, and three grandchildren. Lamona serves in pre-arranging funerals, some follow-up care and with visitations. She has wonderful organizational skills
Ernie Burke

Ernie Burke of Creston, is married to Mary Lou, and has 3 grown sons and 2 grown daughters. Ernie has resided in Union county over 32 years where he has farmed south of Creston. He assists in the funeral home with visitations and general maintenance when ever needed. Ernie enjoys reading about alot of different subjects and spends time with his church family whenever the opportunity arises.
Wilbur Chubick

Wilbur and wife Joan have lived in Creston all of their life. Wilbur is a Korean War veteran and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, Wilbur has enjoyed fishing, golfing and doing some woodworking. Wilbur's love of people and being able to assist them in their time of need is what he enjoys about his work at the funeral home. He has four grown daughters, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, which he enjoys spending time with whenever he can.
Verl Wynn

Verl lives in Creston with his wife Ruth of 58 years and helps at the Powers Funeral Home with visitations and funerals when needed. He has helped in Funeral Service since 1990. Verl also volunteers at the Greater Regional Medical Center as a Hospice volunteer and is a Guard at the Creston Compost Site. Before moving to Creston, Verl farmed and drove a truck while living in Prescott and ran the Williamson Store from 1964 until 1990. Verl enjoys golfing in his spare time and relaxing in a recliner when ever he can. He also enjoys his time with his five grown children; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
