| | | Inwood, IA: Angeline Bomgaars, 81, of Inwood, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at Fellowship Village, Inwood. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Thursday at First Reformed Church, Inwood. Burial at Richland Cemetery. Rev. Bill Donkersloot will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday with the family present 6:30-8 pm at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood.
Angeline Bolkema was born April 18, 1927 at Sheldon, IA, daughter of Sjored and Anna (De Boer) Bolkema. She married Jacob Bomgaars on November 29, 1954 at Rock Valley, IA. Together they farmed near Hull, IA until they moved to Inwood in 1990. Jake died November 14, 1994. Angeline lived at Rock Valley (2000-03) and enjoyed helping with the Foster Grandparent Program before living at Sioux Center’s Franken Manor and then Fellowship Village at Inwood on February 2, 2006. Angeline enjoyed being with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gloria Bomgaars of Inwood; five grandchildren and their families, Barry (Stacy) Bomgaars and children, Colby, Wyatt, and Baily; Beth (Mike) Payne and children, Taylor, Jayd, and Kaydence; Bonnie (Jordan) Huyser and children, Dylan, Jaxan, and Sidney; Steve Bomgaars; Scot Bomgaars; sisters, Bernice Van Otterloo of Sheldon, IA, Clara (Clarence) Sybesema of Platte, SD, Mathilda (Roger) Honderd of Byron Center, MI, Phyllis (Richard) Van Regenmorter of Sioux Center, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake; brothers, John, George, and Harold Bolkema; sisters, Lucretia Bolkema and Loreene Breems.
