Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Marie Bonthuis, his brother Donald and his loving wife Delores, known to many as “DeeDee”.
In addition to DeeDee, the love of his life, his two other passions were golf and the San Francisco Giants. During his recent lengthy stay at Hegg Memorial and Sioux Valley Hospitals, the staff came to love him and nicknamed him the “Happy Grump”. Those folks who knew Harold will know exactly what that meant. Harold died in Rock Valley at Hegg Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at age 83
