| | | Orange City, IA: Dale Andert, age 53, of Orange City, formerly of Rock Valley, died of natural causes Saturday, March 18, 2006 at his home at Hope Haven RTC. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Tuesday at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley. Burial at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Rev. Bill Van Dyken will be officiating.
Dale was born July 9, 1952 at Saint Paul, MN, son of Leonard and Florence Andert. The family lived at St Paul and later at Des Moines, IA. Following his mother’s death, Dale lived at a foster home in Woodward, IA before moving in 1986 to Hope Haven’s homes in Rock Valley, Sioux Center, and later Orange City. Dale loved working for Hope Haven and was active in Friendship Bible Study and the Special Olympics.
