| | | LeMars, Iowa- Arnola Leda Beermann, 68, of LeMars, Iowa, formerly of Hawarden, died Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery rural Ireton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday, with the family present from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Porter Funeral Home.
Arnola Leda Beermann was born June 13, 1937 at Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Martha (Bertram) Beermann. She worked on the family farm until her father passed away. She lived on the family farm for a number of years until she moved to Beresford, South Dakota. She later lived in Hawarden, Iowa where she was employed at the Avalunch Drive Inn. She worked at the Burger and Shake Drive Inn and also was a babysitter for many years. She also walked beans for area farmers. She moved to LeMars, Iowa in 1993 where she lived with her daughter and brother.
Arnola was a great mother, sister, grandma and aunt. She will always be remembered for her smiles, her laughter and her love for others.
She is survived by a brother, Arlo Beermann of LeMars; a daughter, Shirley Beermann of LeMars; grandsons, Chris and Dakota Beermann also of LeMars; a nephew, Verlyn Beermann of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a niece, Carla Zoeller also of Sioux Falls; a great niece, Nicole Zoeller and a great nephew Travis Zoeller both of Sioux Falls; and many friends.
Arnola was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Darlene Zoeller on May 28, 2005 and LaVada Beermann on June 21, 2005.
