| | | HAWARDEN, IOWA- LaVada Beermann, 77, of Hawarden, Iowa died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery rural Ireton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday morning.
LaVada Beermann was born July 30, 1927 at Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Martha (Bertram) Beermann. She worked on the family farm until the time that her father passed away. She then lived with her sister, Darlene for a number of years. LaVada was a resident at the Hope Haven Residential Training Center in Orange City for many years before moving to the Hillcest Health Care Center in Hawarden in December of 1999.
LaVada is survived by a brother, Arlo Beerman and a sister, Arnola Beerman both of LeMars, Iowa; a nephew, Verlyn Beermann of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and two nieces, Carla Zoeller of Sioux Falls and Shirley Beerman of LeMars.
LaVada was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene Zoeller on May 28, 2005.
