| | | Sanborn, IA: Marion “Bud” Brouwer, 83, of Sanborn, formerly of Alvord and Inwood, IA, died Monday June 23, 2008 at Praire View Home at Sanborn. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Friday at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood. Burial at Richland Cemetery, Inwood. Visitation with family will be 6-8 pm Thursday at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood.
Marion Nicholas Brouwer was born October 20, 1924 at Doon, IA, son of Fred and Cornelia (Van De Kieft) Brouwer. He helped his Dad farm near Inwood. Bud later lived in Inwood and enjoyed going to auctions, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his dog “Char” and was a member of the National Rifleman’s Association. Bud moved to Alvord, IA in 2005 and then to Praire View Home at Sanborn on June 9, 2008.
Bud is survived by his brother, Wilber (Nancy) Brouwer of Weatherford, TX; sister, Josena (Walter) Egdorf of Sanborn, IA; 19 nieces and nephews; 34 great; 54 great-great; and 4 great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Cornelia; sister Annie Herrmann; and several nieces and nephews.
