| | | BERESFORD, SOUTH DAKOTA- Tim Berreth, 48, of Beresford, formerly of Hawarden, Iowa died from injuries in an SUV-Semi accident on Wednesday, February 27, 2008.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family. Complete obituary at www.porterfuneralhomes.com. The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
Tim Louis Berreth was born August 5, 1959 in Hawarden, Iowa, the son of Louis and Dorris (Schlueter) Berreth. Tim graduated from West Sioux High School in 1977 and attended Northwest Iowa Community College.
He married Michelle Brett on November 13, 1982 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Hawarden where Tim was employed at Hawarden Machine for 29 years. He was recently promoted to the position of Plant Supervisor. Tim and Michelle moved to Beresford, South Dakota in July of 2004.
Tim loved the Minnesota Vikings and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed corvettes, old movies and eating Heath candy bars. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and for teasing his friends.
He is survived by his wife Michelle of Beresford; son, Dustin Berreth living in Canada; and two sisters, Marcey Vogt and husband Dennis of Petaluma, California and Barbara Holznagel of Anoka, Minnesota.
