| | | Rock Valley, IA – Adrian Bliek, 76, died Friday, December 21, 2007 at Hegg Memorial Hospital, Rock Valley. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday at United Reformed Church, Doon, IA. Burial will be prior to the service at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Visitation will begin noon on Wednesday and continue with the family present from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley.
Adrian Herman Bliek was born June 15, 1931 to Adolph and Pauline (Scholten) Bliek in Sheldon, IA. He graduated from Hull Western Christian High School. After he was united in marriage to Jennie De Vries, they lived at Hendricks, MN. Adrian and his Father drilled wells and farmed. In 1968 Adrian and Jennie moved to Rock Valley where Adrian owned his own well drilling business. He was recently working at Farmers Elevator part-time and delivering recreational trailers.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Jennie; sons: Steven (Angela) Bliek of Merrillville, IN and Kenneth (Donna) Bliek of Merrill, IA; daughters: Linda (Rick) Schacht of Doon, IA and Patricia (Bob) Jones of Lakeville, MN; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Phyllis Hartog of Edgerton, MN and Delaine (Bill) Crippen of North Liberty, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother.
