| | | HAWARDEN, IOWA- Steven Boisen, 52, of Santa Rosa, California, formerly of Hawarden, Iowa died suddenly on Saturday, December 8, 2007.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Friday at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Steven L. Boisen was born November 10, 1955 in Hawarden, Iowa, the son of Orin and Lois (Anderson) Boisen. He graduated from West Sioux High School and South Dakota State University in Brookings. He married Lori Boyd on June 1, 1974. Steve taught school in Everly, Iowa for 2 years and later worked for Union Carbide for several years. He then moved to Minnesota where he worked until 2005. Steve moved to Santa Rosa, California where he was employed in a winery. He very much enjoyed the nice weather and where he worked.
Steve is survived by his mother and step father, Lois and Duane Meether of Hawarden; his son, Nick Boisen and wife Christine of Burnsville, Minnesota; 2 daughters, Amanda Boisen and her special friend Ryan of Fairmont, Minnesota and Elizabeth Boisen attending college at St. Cloud, Minnesota; his sister, Sharon McGuire and her husband, Jim of Vermillion, South Dakota; 2 grandsons, Landon Boisen and Teagan Steven Feely; his step brothers, Mike, Matthew, and Stuart Meether; his step sister, Lori Ann Childs; and nephews, nieces, and cousins.
