| | | Pearl was born May 17, 1918 near Inwood, daughter of Gustave and Mary (Kappelmann) Hamann. She married William “Bill”Arp on October 27, 1940 at Rock Rapids, IA. Together, they farmed SW of Inwood until moving to Inwood in 1970. They lived and helped at the Porter Funeral Home in Inwood beginning in 1972. Bill died on January 12, 1995. Pearl moved to the Fellowship Village on January 16, 2001. Pearl was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church’s WELCA and Joy Circle, and also the Richland “We Club”.
Pearl died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Fellowship Village. She was 89 years, 5 months, and 21 days of age.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Marian (Deane) Gisel of Sioux City, IA; son Marvin (Beverly) Arp; 4 grandchildren, Lance (Dawn) Arp, Marlo (Chris) Cornell, Greg Gisel, and Pam Gisel; 4 great-grandchildren, Sean Gisel, Chase William Arp, Madilyn Jae Cornell, Jillian Marie Arp; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Cydnie, Charley, and Camryn Cornell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; sister, Elsie (Walter) Arp
