| | | Rock Valley, IA: Dustin Bakker, 23, of Rock Valley, IA, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in Sioux Falls as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Rock Valley. Burial at Valley View Cemetery. Pastor Gideon Wamala will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday with the family present 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley.
Dustin Ryan Bakker was born February 3, 1984 at Luverne, MN. The family moved to Rock Valley in 1999. After graduating from Western Christian High School in 2002, Dustin worked for The Buckle Clothing Store. He became the manager at their store in Spencer, IA and later at Madison, WI. Dustin moved back home this past February and was currently working at the Men’s Wearhouse Store in Sioux Falls. Dustin enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially fishing with his brother, Lucas. Dustin was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church.
Dustin is survived by his parents: Mark and Lavonne Bakker; sister and brother, Desiree and Lucas Bakker; grandparents: Henry and Leola Bakker, Jake and Margaret Teunissen all of Rock Valley; many aunts and uncles; cousins; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Florence Teunissen.
