A Rosary Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Lacona.

Rosemary was born at home near Lacona on December 7, 1931 to Herman and Eva (Metz) Miller. She attended the Bauer School. On January 31, 1950 she was married to Norbert Bauer at the Bauer Church. They were blessed with 8 children: Doris, Betty, Chris, Connie, Clint, Angie, Phil, and Cory. Rosemary was a devoted mother and loved raising her children. She was the nucleus of her whole family. She loved helping and taking care of others, but didnít want anyone to fuss over her. She treated everyone the same and made everyone feel special. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and working in the garden. Rosemary worked as a cook for SEW schools for many years and enjoyed all the children.

Rosemary passed away August 25, 2011 at her home. She is survived by her children: Doris Gillespie of Milo, Betty Sommar of Indianola, Chris (Greg) Wilbur of Indianola, Connie Wimberly of Indianola, Clint (Janet) Bauer of Lacona, Angie (Jerry) Gass of Russell, Phil (Jackie) Bauer of Knoxville, and Cory (Chani) Bauer of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; siblings: Allen (Karen) Miller, Darrell (Marlene) Miller, Wilfred (Joyce) Miller, Rita Ripperger, Phyllis (Delbert) Ripperger, Marie (Bob) Glass, and Paulene (Roger) Wadle; and sister-in-law Louise Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; sons-in-law Bob Gillespie and Gary Wimberly; and siblings; Clarence Miller and Dolores Bauer.
