| | | Ralph "Bud" Paul Nance, 91, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Sunday (January 22, 2012) at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio native was born November 5, 1920, the son of the late Jess and Dottie Beals Nance. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Gool Nance.
Mr. Nance was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and a U.S. WWII Navy Veteran. He was a former supervisor with Ashland Oil and a member of the South Point Christian Church.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by:
a brother: William Nance
He is survived by:
a brother: Robert Nance of Ironton
a sister: Rose Case of Ironton
a niece and his caregiver: Connie Douglas of Ashland, KY
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday (January 25, 2012) at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio with Minister Jerry Greenslait officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery with military graveside rites by the V.F.W. Post 8850. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
