My Precious Angel

Sonya a precious angel so close to us,
Got called home on May 5th, 2004.
An angel from our life beyond,
Came and took her to Heaven's door.

Many of us wonder why somebody so young,
Got called before us, it seems too unfair.
But God has a plan for each of us,
And now God needed her there.

This should be such a joyous time,
Yet our hearts feel sad and blue.
Why was she taken from us so soon,
I guess she had nothing left to do.

At times we don't understand God's way,
Feeling abandoned when most in need.
That's why it is so important to know,
He is a part of all our thoughts and deeds.

We feel right now like we can't go on,
But somehow we always do.
And when we find that life goes on,
We learn that God's word is true.

For never once has he left us alone,
Just because we feel he isn't there.
If we take a second to remember,
He is just a word away in prayer.

Yes it will be hard for awhile,
A broken heart and many tears.
But we must continue to remember her,
So she will live with all our years.

Yes God called another angel home,
But she is closer then ever before.
Soon again we will feel peace in our hearts,
And she will leave our side no more.

Goodbye for now our darling Sonya,
You were loved much more than you know.
Can't wait till we see you on the other side,
Reunited with family as a whole.

You will be missed by so many,
Many tears have been shed.
But we know you are in a much better place,
Now that you've gone ahead.

With all my love Sonya,
Your cousin,
Donna Marie Clark
