Of Buffalo, NY, March 17, 2004, beloved wife of Charles C. Stark; loving mother of Charles W. (fiancee Karen A. Rizzo) and Allison Stark; Dear daughter of Mary Louise and the late Richard A. Willard Sr; sister of mary Louise (William) Barrett, Richard (Mary) Willard Jr, Kenneth (Barbara) Willard and Carol (Richard) Zasada; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the O'CONNELL-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 2286 South Park Ave. where a funeral will be held Saturday at 10:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ambrose Church at 11:00 AM. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo or St. Ambrose Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Beverly A. Stark, a customer service representative for Graphic Controls for 34 years, died Wednesday (March 17, 2004) in her Buffalo home after a brief illness. She was 53.
She worked for the company from 1968 to 2002, when she began working in customer service for the YMCA.
Born Beverly Willard in Buffalo, she graduated in 1968 from Mount Mercy Academy. Her family's farm in Wales Hollow became the summer getaway, which she loved stocking with outdoor toys for children.
Mrs. Stark was an accomplished speed skater and cross-country skier. She also enjoyed gardening and swimming.
A Eucharistic minister at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, she was on the Parish Council and worked with the liturgy and the parish picnic committee.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Charles C.; a son, Charles W. of Buffalo; a daughter, Allison M. of Buffalo; her mother, Mary Louise Willard of Buffalo; two sisters, Mary Louise Barrett of Cheektowaga and Carol Zasada of Danville, Ill.; and two brothers, Richard Willard Jr. of Buffalo and Kenneth Willard of Hamburg.
Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in O'Connell-Murphy Funeral Home, 2286 South Park Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 in St. Ambrose Church, 65 Ridgewood Road. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
